SUMMARY:INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL TRANSNASAL ENDOSCOPIC SURGERY: FROM SINUSES TO SKULL BASE
DESCRIPTION:Dear\, \nwe take the opportunity to bring to your attention the \nINTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL \nTRANSNASAL ENDOSCOPIC SURGERY: FROM SINUSES TO SKULL BASE \nHANDS-ON Anatomy Laboratory \nwhich will be held on September 20-22\, 2021 in Brescia\, Italy\, as attachment the program together with the registration form. \nAim of this course\, which is now in its seventh edition\, is to offer an overview of the applications of transnasal endoscopic surgery\, starting \nfrom simple procedures performed under local anesthesia to more extensive operations adopted for inflammatory disease\, benign and \nmalignant sinonasal tumors\, skullbase diseases\, sellar and parasellar lesions\, down to the clivus\, nasopharynx and craniovertebral junction. \nThis year\, due to the restriction caused by COVID-19\, we have decided to organize a 3-day event to allow the hands on sessions in the \nanatomy laboratory. \nThe three days will be dedicated to the endoscopic endonasal dissection of injected\, fresh frozen specimens. At the Gross Anatomy Laboratory of the University of Brescia\, each working station is complete of endoscopic skull base surgery equipment\, as well as CT-based navigation. Each participant\, two per each station\, will be supervised by one tutor to allow for a personalized tuition.
