SUMMARY:Cursus: ‘hands-on office-based endoscopic surgery course’
DESCRIPTION:Van woensdag 20 tot en met vrijdag 22 mei 2026 vindt de vierde editie van de internationale ‘hands-on office-based endoscopic surgery course’ plaats in het Radboudumc te Nijmegen. Het programma staat geheel in het teken van poliklinische endoscopische chirurgie en toekomstige ontwikkelingen. Zowel de praktische als wetenschappelijke achtergrond van poliklinische endoscopische chirurgie zal worden besproken met onder andere twee ‘keynote’ sprekers op het gebied van poliklinische endoscopische chirurgie. Daarnaast zijn er twee dagdelen gereserveerd voor een uitgebreid endoscopisch hands-on practicum op ‘fresh frozen’ humane kadavers (o.a. transnasale oesofagoscopie\, flexibel biopteren en laserbehandelingen) en zijn er een aantal live procedures van endoscopische behandelingen in lokale anesthesie. \nVoor meer informatie en inschrijven ga naar www.entendoscopy.eu.

DESCRIPTION:From June 10th till June 12th 2026 the 13th hands-on introductory course to Head and Neck Surgery will be held in the UMC Utrecht Cancer Center. \nOriginally this course was organized for ENT residents in The Netherlands and Belgium but due to its popularity\, the course evolved over the years with participants from all over Europe and beyond.  The combination of lectures by experienced faculty members\, instructional videos\, interesting discussions and hands-on cadaver dissection provide the opportunity to enrich your  knowledge and practice your surgical skills. \nThe cadaver dissections will focus on the neck\, larynx and parotid gland with introductions by an experienced head and neck anatomist. DESCRIPTION:The 8th IFHNOS World Congress will be held in Brisbane\, Australia\, in August 2026\, in collaboration with the Australian and New Zealand Head and Neck Cancer Society. The Congress will be centered around the theme “Global Harmonization of Head and Neck Cancer Care through international collaboration.” \nBrisbane city and the Southbank precinct\, the site of the conference venue\, is an ideal location for a meeting. Brisbane has a relaxed subtropical feel\, while at the same time it has all the facilities\, restaurants and entertainment venues that will make it a memorable experience for delegates\, accompanying partners and families. \nThere is a real vibrancy to the city as it prepares to host the 2032 Summer Olympic Games and is the gateway to many of the places people love to visit when in Australia such as the Gold Coast and Great Barrier Reef. \nIFHNOS is made up of over 70 member societies across 58 countries\, and so this will truly be an engaging international head and neck cancer conference for the ages. Enkele opvallende verdiensten\nzijn de stuwende rol bij de concentratie van hoofd-halsoncologische zorg in Nederland\, de\noprichting van de European Head and Neck Society en zijn rol bij de totstandkoming van de\nMake Sense Campaign\, een Europese bewustwordingscampagne voor hoofd-halskanker. \nOp vrijdag 4 september 2026 neemt René afscheid. DESCRIPTION:Graag vraag ik uw aandacht voor een bijzondere middag op 8 oktober 2026 in De Vereeniging in Nijmegen. \n\n\nDeze middag staat in het teken van kanker in de toekomst. Tijdens het IKNL-symposium verkennen we belangrijke trends\, ontwikkelingen en voorspellingen in de oncologische zorg tot 2045. Wat komt er op ons af? Welke veranderingen zien we en wat betekenen deze voor patiënten\, professionals en de organisatie van zorg? Aansluitend zal ik mijn afscheidsrede houden\, georganiseerd door de Radboud Universiteit.
