Dear Colleague,

This course, started in 1996, is a 2-day course focused on surgery of the thyroid and parathyroid glands. Preoperative workup of both thyroid and parathyroid surgical disease will be discussed, with an emphasis on FNA and molecular analysis and preoperative parathyroid localization imaging options. Surgical techniques will be reviewed including recurrent laryngeal nerve monitoring, parathyroid auto florescence and new surgical minimally invasive approaches will be discussed. Molecular genetic analysis for differentiated and medullary thyroid carcinoma and neoadjuvant advances will also be presented. Surgical philosophy regarding bilateral thyroid surgery, its risks, surgical treatment of the neck will be presented. A new Faculty Immersive Learning section will be included to provide close audience – faculty interaction.

Specialty Physicians, Physicians (MD/DO), Residents/Fellows, Nurses (RN/APRN) and Allied Health Professionals.
